Christopher Haylett

Development Director

  • Christopher Haylett on LinkedIn

About Christopher Haylett : Christopher joined Fathers’ UpLift in 2019. As the Development Director Chris oversees all development efforts and the majority of external communications for the organization. This includes grant proposals, donor engagement, social media and digital content, and more.

Christopher’s Narrative: “I grew up as a military kid, with my father in the US Air Force. Due to this, I moved every 2.5 years on average growing up, living in four states and three foreign countries by the age of 15. However, I spent most of my high school and all of my undergrad years in the Seattle area, so I can kind of call that a home of sorts. I went to Seattle Pacific University for my Bachelors. I attended Hult International Business School in Boston for grad school. I hold a B.A. in Global Development Studies and an M.Sc. in International Business.

My first “professional” job was as a care coordinator at Seattle Children’s Hospital. Between that and my time at Fathers’ UpLift, I spent time as a Forex and Commodities Market Analyst, a Due Diligence Fellow, a Marketing Consultant, and as a fintech startup founder in the giving space.

One of my primary goals in life is to help people to steward and apply their money meaningfully, as they see their “idealized selves” doing. As a Forex and Commodities Market Analyst, my shining achievement was guiding clients to a 1000% return in a weekend from a Euro trade based around France’s 2017 elections. I’m all about sustainable impact; impact that doesn’t just put a bandaid on a chronic issue, but which addresses the heart of a problem and resolves it permanently. With our focus on helping fathers in ways that improve their lives, increase father–child engagement, and empower families, Fathers’ UpLift is an organization creating a rare degree of sustainable impact, across categories as wide ranging as incarceration/recidivism, teen pregnancy, behavioral disorders, food security and poverty, racism, and so much more.”

If I could invite anyone to dinner, I’d love to have dinner with author and geopolitics expert Peter Zeihan and chat about socioeconomics, geopolitics, and international affairs (although I’m sure my wife would be quite bored with that dinner).
