Staff Narrative:

Ashley Doherty, originally from New York State, has lived in Massachusetts for the past 15 years. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Biology from Cornell University and her Master’s in Social Work from Fordham University. Her diverse work experiences range from grief and loss support in the veterinary field to working with underprivileged youth and families, as well as directly with Alzheimer’s patients.

Ashley’s journey with Fathers’ UpLift began with a two-year internship that transitioned into a full-time career. The true “village” aspect of Fathers’ UpLift inspires her every day and keeps her committed to the organization year after year. The collaborative environment, where clinicians, coaches, and all staff members work together, makes it a place she truly loves.

Why Fathers’ UpLift? The supportive and collaborative “village” environment at Fathers’ UpLift is what inspires Ashley and makes her love coming to work every day.

If I could invite anyone to dinner, it would be: My late grandmother, who passed away several years ago. One more dinner with her would be amazing.

When she’s not at Fathers’ UpLift, Ashley enjoys spending time with her family, engaging in community activities, and continuing her professional development in social work.
