About the Fellowship
The Fathers’ UpLift United States Therapist Recruitment (USTR) Fellowship exists to increase the number of BIPOC therapists in the mental health, behavioral health, and addictions field. Fellows are selected from accredited graduate programs across the United States, with a strong emphasis on supporting students who are committed to clinical work with fathers and families.

- Length: Nine-month professional development experience
- Focus: Hands-on clinical training, mentorship, and workforce development
- Format: In-person (Boston/Cincinnati) or remote opportunities available

- Funded Licensure Test Preparation (post-graduation)

Eligibility (Required)
- Enrolled in an accredited Master’s-level program (e.g., MSW, counseling, psychology)
- Preparing to complete a required field practicum
- Strong interest in working with fathers and underserved families
- Ability to complete a practicum placement with Fathers’ UpLift (in-person or remote)
- Commitment to attending fellowship programming and training sessions
- Active LinkedIn profile
- Willingness to pursue licensure following graduation
HSA Fellowship (Undergraduate Track)
About the Fellowship
The Human Services Associate Fellowship is designed for bachelor-level students pursuing careers in human services, social work, psychology, or related fields. This program creates an early-entry pathway into the behavioral health workforce by providing foundational training, mentorship, and real-world exposure to father-centered care.

- Focus: Skill-building, exposure to clinical and community-based work, and career readiness
- Audience: Undergraduate (Bachelor’s-level) students exploring careers in behavioral health and human services

Eligibility (Required)
- Enrolled in a Bachelor’s-level program in human services or a related field
- Demonstrated interest in community-based work and underserved populations
- Willingness to engage in structured learning, training, and program activities
