Supporting BIPOC Clinicians: Fathers UpLift Presents at the HCBS Workforce Grant Summit

We’re proud and honored today as Dr. Owens represents Fathers UpLift at the Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS) Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) and Human Services Workforce Development Grant Summit. This unique gathering brings together organizations funded by EOHHS to foster collaboration and innovation in human services.

About the Massachusetts HCBS Workforce Development Grant

Funded through the Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services, the Home and Community-Based Services and Human Services Workforce Development Grant Program is dedicated to building a robust, skilled, and inclusive workforce. The grant specifically supports initiatives that enhance training, professional growth, and the development of human services professionals, particularly emphasizing diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Fathers UpLift’s Impactful Fellowship Program

Thanks to generous funding provided by the HCBS Workforce Development Grant Program, Fathers UpLift launched our transformative USTR Fellowship program. Our Fellowship uniquely empowers the next generation of BIPOC clinicians by equipping them with critical skills, mentorship, and support to excel and serve their communities effectively.

Sharing Knowledge, Growing Community

Today’s summit offers an invaluable platform where Dr. Owens is sharing Fathers UpLift’s groundbreaking strategies and lessons learned from our Fellowship. His presentation spotlights how intentional support and targeted resources significantly advance professional opportunities for emerging BIPOC clinicians.

Dr. Owens’ insights not only highlight successes but also reveal actionable strategies for replicating this effective model across Massachusetts and beyond.

Looking Forward, Together

Participation in this summit underscores Fathers UpLift’s dedication to nurturing inclusive growth in the human services field. Collaborating with fellow leaders, learning from collective experiences, and advocating for continued support is essential for sustained, community-wide advancement.

We extend heartfelt appreciation to the Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services for making these critical efforts possible. Together, we can keep building healthier, more equitable communities.

Stay connected and join our journey to uplift and empower.

Stay up to date with FUL news and impact.
