Marketing Associate

  • George Boakye-Yiadom on LinkedIn

Joined Fathers’ UpLift: 2016

Responsibilities: George supports the marketing efforts of Fathers’ UpLift, helping to spread the organization’s mission and message to a broader audience.

Role: As the Marketing Associate, George plays a key role in promoting Fathers’ UpLift’s programs and initiatives, leveraging his skills to enhance community engagement and outreach.

Staff Narrative:

George Boakye-Yiadom, a native of Accra, Ghana, maintains a strong connection to his African origins, cultural background, and Ghanaian ancestry. During his youth, he relocated to the United States and spent his formative years in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. George pursued higher education at Seton Hill University, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Early Childhood Development.

George joined Fathers’ UpLift because he believes in the organization’s divine mission and transformative work. As a man of color and a father, he feels a personal obligation to offer resources and support to some of society’s most vulnerable members. This responsibility is both weighty and emotionally fulfilling for him. He takes great pleasure in working in a capacity where he can both teach and learn from the young people in their community.

Professionally, George is eager to gain further experience in community outreach, development, social-emotional learning, and overall social work practice. He envisions himself growing with Fathers’ UpLift, both domestically and internationally, and one day using his skills to benefit children in his home country, Ghana.

Why Fathers’ UpLift? George is wholeheartedly committed to their vision and considers it a privilege to be part of this incredible movement.

If I could invite anyone to dinner, it would be: My paternal grandfather, who was a chief in his village. I am curious to learn more about my village’s history and heritage from him.

When George isn’t working at Fathers’ UpLift, he cherishes spending time with his family and traveling the globe. His favorite destinations have been Greece, Portugal, Finland, Russia, and of course, Ghana.

Message to the World: A man without a plan lacks direction. Opportunities must be seized when they present themselves, or they may pass by. George is dedicated to supporting, uplifting, and spreading the vision and message of Fathers’ UpLift, step by step, using all available resources and opportunities to serve his community.
