George was born and raised in Accra, Ghana.  George is deeply grounded in my African roots, culture, and Ghanaian heritage. George migrated to the United States in my adolescence, spending his earlier years in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he also attended Seton Hill University, obtaining my Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in early childhood development.

Fathers’ UpLift is doing God’s work, and that is why I am here. I believe in the vision of this company and the work they do. I want to be part of something great. Working with Fathers’ Uplift is emotionally rewarding. As a man of color, and a Father myself, I feel like I am personally responsible for providing resources and support to some of the most vulnerable people in our society, which I do not take lightly. I especially enjoy working In a role where I can teach and learn from the youth in our community. As I continue to grow professionally in the social work field, I look forward to gaining more experience from Fathers Uplift regarding community outreach and development, social-emotional learning, and social work practice overall. I see myself growing with this amazing company domestically and internationally and one day using my skills to help kids from my home country Ghana.

The message I would like to share with the world is that a man without a plan is a man without direction. If an opportunity is not taken when it comes, it passes away. I am here to support, lift and spread the vision and message of Fathers’ UpLift step by step utilizing all resources and opportunities to support my community by any means necessary.

If I invite one person to dinner, it would be my paternal grandfather because he was a chief in his village, and I would want to know more about my village. When I am not a Fathers’ UpLift, I am spending time with my family and traveling the world. My favorite places have been are Greece, Portugal, Finland, Russia & Ghana.

Stay up to date with FUL news and impact.
